Biofeedback (BF) therapy methods have evolved considerably in recent years. The best known is biofeedback training based on heart rate variability (HRV), which used to treat asthma, depression, stress, and anxiety, among other conditions, by synchronizing the rhythm of breathing heartbeat. aim our research was develop a methodology test its applicability using photoplethysmographs smartphones conduct sessions for frontline healthcare workers under their everyday stressful conditions. Our hypothesis that such not only comparable traditional itself, but can make regular increasingly effective reducing real-life stress providing appropriate feedback subject. sample consisted 28 participants. proprietary method HRV able determine resonance frequency subjects, i.e., number at pulse respiration are sync. app then uses visual help subject reach this frequency, which, if maintained, significantly reduce stress.
